Hey, I'm Laura!
I live on a farm in rural New Zealand with my husband Josh, our 4 country kids, our black lab Sage and a variety of other animals!
We're all about simple & delicious, family friendly recipes that are made from scratch, gardening, preserving and living our homesteading dream!
We are just a typical Kiwi family, trying to live a more "made from scratch" life by getting back to basics - home cooking, bread making, preserving, gardening, keeping chickens and just enjoying the simple things in life.
And more importantly, we want to help you do the same! And to prove that you can do it, regardless of where you live or what you do.
We also realise that living a more simple, homemade life or becoming more self-sufficient looks a little different for everyone, but no matter where you are on your journey, we have articles, recipes and posts to help you along the way!
We are certainly not experts in any of this, we're just learning as we go, and if we can help or encourage you to try something new and help get your started on your own journey, even better!
